Donating Food In Southern Maine?

    The York County Food Rescue program distributed more than 2.2 million pounds of food last year to more than 47 food pantries and soup kitchens in York County.

     One third of these pantries depend on the YCFR program to stock 95% of their shelves at no cost to the pantry.

     Our 2009-2010 food drives were hugely beneficial to the mission of Food Rescue.   This year the need is even greater.  Join us in providing food to our neighbors in York County.  We need your help.

November December Food Drives

 

Thank You to City Limits! on Rte. 4 in Sanford for hosting a food drive the week of October 18 ending on Saturday the 23rd with a three band concert.

Thanks To Marden's in Sanford! for holding a food drive on November 6 from 9-6 and on November 7 from 11-5.

Thanks to the Dover, NH Hannaford's! for hosting a food drive on November 8.

Thanks to the Wells Hannaford's! for hosting a Red Bag food drive from 8 to 6 on Friday November 12.

Thanks to the Save-A-Lot in Portland! for holding a food drive on Saturday November 13 and on Sunday November 14.

The Biddeford Saco Chamber of Commerce is having a turkey drive.  Leave your frozen turkeys at the Chamber office on Main Street in Saco.  Call 207-282-1567 for further information.

The Southern Maine Med is also doing a turkey drive.  Further information to be announced.

Thanks to Goodall Hospital in Sanford! for having a food drive from November 15 to 19.  Bring food to the hospital.  Call (207) 324-4310 for further information.
