UNITED WAY OF YORK COUNTY ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

United Way of York County has made both Steve Kumka, Food Rescue Chair and Jodi Bissonnette, Food Rescue Program Director, poster children for this year’s annual United Way campaign. Their photo is included in the brochures used to solicit contributions from area businesses and individuals. Since the United Way is one of the major funding sources for YCFR, a successful annual campaign is critical to helping to achieve our mission of preventing hunger throughout York County. With the current economic climate, achieving this will be quite a challenge.

To help with this, in addition to lending her smiling face to this year’s campaign, Jodi has been pounding the pavement throughout York County extolling the virtues of Food Rescue and how important United Way is to our success.  She has already done speaking engagements at Unum, Pratt and Whitney and Shaws, with Corning, Kennebunk Savings Bank, and Merc in Biddeford to follow.
